International Conference on Coaching Supervision 2025

Supervision: Its core and its edges

Two people talking

The 13th International Conference on Coaching supervision will be held on Thursday 15 May 2025 in Oxford, UK. We will be continuing a hybrid approach to the 2025 conference, allowing presenters and attendees alike to participate either in person or online.

Last year's theme focused attention on the 3Ps: ‘‘Philosophies Purpose and Practice', tapping into the challenge of constructing a model of practice reflecting the values of the practitioner. Our two plenary presenters – Pauline Fatien and Paul Lawrence – both looked into critical systemic perspectives, extending the idea of supervisors’ ethical responsibilities to the examine the frameworks within which they work.

The theme for 2025 is taken from feedback provided by a qualifying supervisor who reported the value of exploring her practice over time, “finding its core and its edges”. We invite the community to explore what disciplines and activities might be central to supervision and what might or might not be more marginal.

We hope the combination of practical, conceptual and empirical work will generate new ideas and new discussions for attendees.
