Oxford Brookes University hosts celebratory night for Oxfordshire Business Awards
Oxford Brookes University opened its doors to over 350 guests for the annual Oxfordshire Business Awards last week (7 June).
Guests from organisations across the county attended Oxford Brookes’ Headington Campus for the ceremony and dinner, which was hosted by award-winning comedian Matt Richardson.Oxford Brookes Business School (OBBS) sponsored one of the 14 award categories, the Purposeful Business Award, which was won by The Project PT, a personal training company based in central Oxford.
The award is for organisations that have between five and 249 employees, and is awarded to the business that demonstrates a positive impact on society, local communities, the environment and local economy.
Professor Tim Vorley, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of OBBS, said: “Oxford Brookes Business School was delighted to again support the Purposeful Business Award, and we wish many congratulations to The Project PT, who were worthy winners among a high calibre of entrants. The importance of purpose is key to business growth and aligns with the mission and vision of Oxford Brookes Business School.”

The Oxfordshire Business Awards was started in 1994 with the aim of recognising the achievements of organisations spanning the county, large and small.
