OxHRF: Palestine: Power in Culture

Discover how cultural expression serves as a form of resistance and resilience in the Palestinian struggle.

Join us at the Pitt Rivers Museum for an afternoon exploring the power of culture in Palestinian identity, resilience, and resistance. Through film, talks, poetry, and a live link from Ramallah, we will hear personal stories, including a talk from a resident of Al-Am'ari refugee camp. Experience Palestinian traditions hands-on with a tartreez (embroidery) workshop and a kite-making activity for children, alongside a museum treasure hunt. The event will conclude with music and Dabke dancing, celebrating Palestinian heritage and community. All are welcome to this family-friendly event as part of the Oxford Human Rights Festival.
