'Rediscovering Evelyn', a celebration of the work and life of Evelyn Dunbar. This day conference will include: A biographical introduction to Evelyn Dunbar; the collection at Oxford Brookes University; and its conservation and future uses. Also, an evaluation of her work prior to attending the Chelsea College of Art; her illustrations in books and magazines; and her work during the Second World War.
All accompanied by an exhibition of her work, ranging from sketches to finished works.
The conference is open to in-person attendees and also via Zoom.
The day is free to attend and refreshments and lunch will be provided.
